Wonderful Life
This was an impulse buy because I had heard so many wonderful things about this book. But...well... I found it rather disappointing.
There are ridiculous amount of irrelevant waffling and personal commentary at the beginning and end of the book that makes the reading experience a bore. The book gets better at around page 120 when the author starts writing about the animals found in the Burgess Shale.
The print quality of the photographs/ pictures are rather horrible as they look more like black rectangles with a bit of white blob. However, the line drawings and illustrations are nicely done and legible.
NOTE: Information regarding classification of species is outdated (book first published in 1990).
